Mal Lewis Jones is a children’s author, best known for her ‘Cassie at the Ballet School’ series.
Her series of ballet school books were originally published by Hodder Children’s Books in the UK in the mid 1990’s and then by Ravensburger in Germany in 2004.
Mal has written other dance books including six titles in the Dance Club series, originally published by McDonald Young books. She has also adapted ‘The Wind in the Willows’ by Kenneth Grahame, for Hodder and WHSmith. She was co-collator of the classic poetry anthology, ‘Good Night, Sleep Tight’, which is a collection of 366 poems, one for every night of the year. This was published by Scholastic, and in America by Scholastic Inc.
Since then, Mal has self-published a number of other titles including a fantasy trilogy.
Mal is married to the author Ivan Jones. Their eldest daughter, Lara Jones, was a children’s book illustrator. They have two other children – Levin and Jess and four grandchildren India, Etienne, Eva and Isaac.
